Mason City Family YMCA
Membership Marketing Director. Responsible for maintaining the brand and look for the Mason City Family YMCA. Responsible for tv and radio commercials and ads for the local newspaper. Event planning. Sending out renewal letters on a monthly basis. Also responsible for the financial assistance program available for discounted memberships to the Y.
December 2010 to present

KTTC and FOX 47 Television, Rochester, MN
Executive producer and main anchor of five and nine o’clock newscasts. Responsiblities included producing, writing, and editing the five o’clock news on KTTC and the nine o’clock news on FOX 47. It was a lot of responsibility, since I was a solo anchor. Kept reporters on pace with their writing and editing; giving the “okay” for their finished products to hit the air. Occasionally reported as well.
November 2003 to December 2007

Waldorf College, Forest City, IA
Worked as an instructor of broadcasting and communications. Kept the student-run television station on the air and helped the students produce a weekly newscast, along with other programming.

KIMT, NewsChannel 3, Mason City, IA
Responsibilities at KIMT mirrored those I had at KTTC and FOX 47. Reported more often at KIMT and put together adoption pieces once a month, called “Committed to Kids.”
