OBJECTIVE: A weather anchor position utilizing abilities developed over 20 years of broadcast experience and education in forecasting, graphic presentation and producing. BS, Communications / Journalism, Meteorology certification. MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS: • Developed weather graphics for daily and special weather situations. • Prepared weather forecast for radio network live and taped. • Prepared daily weather forecast, graphics and weather story for web page. • Represent company at community events. EXPERIENCE: 1996 to 2009 WWMT TV-3 CBS Affiliated Kalamazoo, MI Morning Weather Forecaster Responsible for preparing and presenting morning and noon weather forecasts. Responsibilities include analyzing weather charts, interpreting weather satellite and radar data and making weather graphics. Knowledge of Weather Central computer graphics, Barons Doppler Radar, Viper 3-D Radar, graphics and Severe Weather Alert crawl system. Preparing radio weather forecasts for various radio stations taped via MP3 computer system and live reports. Prepared weather forecast and graphics for web page and webcast. Live weather reports on location of major community events. Produced reports for two half hour specials on severe weather. Represent the station in various speaking engagements. 1991 to 1996 WJBK TV-2 FOX Affiliated Detroit, MI Weekend Weather Forecaster Responsible for preparing and presenting weekend weather forecast and producing weathercasts during the week. Responsible for analyzing weather charts, interpreting weather satellite and radar data and making weather graphics. Knowledge of Kavouras and Liveline computer graphics equipment. Backup weather forecaster for Weekday newscasts. Represent the station at various community events.
