Professional Experience April 2008 – Present; WALB-TV; Albany, GA Weekend Meteorologist/Reporter • Produced and performed weathercasts for four weekend shows, then edited and placed the weathercasts on the station’s web site. • Produced and performed weathercasts for the station’s 24/7 Weather Channel. • Updated the weather portion of the station’s web site. • Filled in as needed for other Meteorologists. • Gathered, photographed, wrote and edited stories for evening newscasts three days weekly. Placed stories on the station’s web site. • Produced and performed weathercasts for multiple radio stations in Albany and Valdosta, Georgia. May 2002 - May 2006; WSAW-TV; Wausau, WI Meteorologist • Served as Weekend Meteorologist/Associate Producer from May 2002 until June 2003 and as Morning Meteorologist from June 2003 until May 2006. • Produced and performed 10 weathercasts for a two hour morning show and a 30 minute Noon show on weekdays (June 2003 – May 2006). • Produced and performed weathercasts for four weekend and three Noon shows (May 2002 – June 2003). • Updated the weather portion of the station web site. • Produced, performed and edited a weathercast available in a streaming video format on the station web site. • Filled in as needed for other Meteorologists. • Some co-hosting duties. • Edited tapes for 5, 6 and 10 PM newscasts three days weekly (May 2002 – June 2003). Education May 1998; Florida State University; Tallahassee, FL Bachelor of Science in Meteorology • Earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Minor in Communications. • Served an internship at Florida’s News Channel, a statewide cable news channel. • Produced and performed weathercasts on the university’s local cable channel and statewide on Sunshine Network.
